WAY TO GO TYRA its about time a model or a famous person spoke up to the media on HOW SOMEONE SHOULD LOOK AND WEIGH ..... for one she isnt big and 2 models are pretty much forced to look hungry. Tyra decided to eat properly and go to her healthy weight. and for the photographer who played with the camera to get a perfect angle to attack her thighs, joke was on them. !!!! good job Tyra.. do you all agree? its about time woman be accpted in the world for eating healthy and not looking like a twig unnourished.... what do you all think ? was she right or wrong telling it the way it is on tv?would love to hear from men and woman...thir thoughts on this..........you all know my thoughts and inputs.. whats yours?

I think what Tyra did was overdue and I applaude her too. She isn't even fat. I can't believe as good as Tyra looks (she probably wears a size 8) people are calling her fat. Has America in this day and age consider a size 8 to be fat? That is sick! If she is fat, then Marylin Monroe and Lucille Ball were morbidly obsese (we know that isn't true)! We need Tyra and other women like her to let the media know we are sick of them feeding the public lies on how women should look like crack fiens with a diet soda addiction. No, we should not be eating all the donuts and claim that is ok, but women should be and look healthy. We shouldn't be starving ourselves to be unattainable sizes that only happens when you eat one piece of tree bark topped with lemon juice. TYRA THANK YOU GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You said it all, and I agree! Tyra looks great, and it's high time for women with curves to be celebrated instead of being ostracized in a society where "thin is in". She's still at a healthy weight for her height, and not at all what some consider "obese". Many fashion houses are shunning the "waif look" and "heroin chic" and are opting for more curvaceous models in promoting thier clothing lines, but society still has a long way to go as far as acceptance. As a plus size woman, I can appreciate Tyra's views, but being healthy is the main thing. Besides, I would rather be curvy than to have my collar bones stick out and having people constantly asking if I need a sandwich :)

I saw that one. She's right, you know. They do wait until you're doing something unflattering, then click away. That's how they make their money. They know what to look for (they're photographers, after all) and how to make it look the way they want it to.
It's really time for the media to quit being so picky on appearances and focus on actual talent. You know, promote bands that actually SOUND good (even live!), not necessarily LOOK good, and they play their own instruments, not dance around or sample things to death.
I mean, the Pussycat Dolls?? C'MON!!!!
The same goes double for the guys, too. So sick of boy bands!!!
And pretty boys who don't have a thought in their vacuous skulls. Give me a guy who really plays an instrument with fire and talent!!!

Tyra has a long way to go b4 she could be fat, I don't like the messages that young girls are getting about weight from mainstream media.

Well, i totally agree. She is such a strong person for speaking out and standing up for people who are insecure about their appearance. Tyra is very beautiful, and i give her props for being such a positive infuence and role model for many young ladies who look up to her. =)

I think Tyra is beautiful regardless of what weight she is. Some women are always beautiful no matter what the size.

i agree. tyra is the one to be taken for a fool. when people said she had breast implants, she had them examined on her show. just like the fake photos. she isnt afraid to speak and protect herself as well as others. she is so beautiful to me. and who cares if she gains a pound or 2. she can. shes human.

Your not going to like my answer, but, Tyra has gotten a bit too big for her britches...she plays a diva most of the time and when she is attacked for unflattering pictures, she has to tell people to "kiss her fat @ss?".....admit that you have gained weight, tell us that your ok with it and let it be...she is just making herself look just as bad as the losers who attacked her in the first place...
