If the ads were not bought for the millions they were, the Super Bowl would not be very super. The money spent there would be spent on advertising, not charity. It is very easy to think that way, but spending money on charity would not pay back nearly as greatly as the Super Bowl ads. The companies are in business to make money, not make do gooders feel good.

Absolutely. But then, for that matter, I think all the fabulous amount of money spent on Superbowl tickets, Superbowl half-time, Superbowl pre-game reports....(etc) could also go to much better use: Like feeding all the hungry worldwide for the next five hundred years.....

True, I agree, but this is Corporate America, they run this country and all of us gullible American's eat it up, and in turn, buy their products, Capitalism at its finest, that's why this country is so great, none like any other. But yes, the money should go to feed the homeless, education, diseases, and most importantly the troops family's while they are fighting for our freedom!

absolutely! but the promoters are there for one thing and one thing only...$$$$$$...nuf said!

TSull73..you were wrong on your assumption of me posting earlier....again I think that sports are very very much over rated and very much over payed.....unfortunately that's the sports mindset....they would rather put money into sports than help people who truly are displaced in this country....and I include the government in that statement....

that's capitolism at work. anheiser busch doesn't tell you how to spend your money, so why are you trying to tell them how to spend theirs? if you don't like capitolism, move to china and give communism a try
