I would be fine as long as I wasn't hungry and had something to read.

That actually happened to me. Before it happened, I had always imagined that it might and what I would do.

I was very calm, suprisingly so. I pushed the emergency call button and a security guard answered. He told me it would be just a very few minutes.

About 20 minutes later, I pushed it again. He said that he thought I had gotten out. Why on earth he would think that without checking, the idiot.

He said to hold on for a couple more minutes, they were going to try something. Whatever they did finally worked.

By then, I had been on there about a half hour. I did think about what would happen if I had to pee. Fortunately, I didn't have to. It wasn't as bad as it sounds, but the elevator kept going up and down. It would stop on some floors, but the door never opened.

I was a bit worried because I knew how good the security guards were. Think Barney Fife on the Andy Grifith show.

Well being as I am usually running a few minutes late every where I go, in the first five minutes I would probably be trying to tear the elavator apart.

In thirty minutes I would have already paniced a bit, but now I am tired and just want to set down. Hope I still have that coke in my purse, it's going to ba while. In one hour depending on how many and who got stuck in there I might would be talking to some of the people and trying to cheer everyone up.

Id get a bit scared right away just because Id be afraid the elevator cable would break. Im scared of hieghts and hate taking elevators so being stuck in one would just really freak me out. Plus I really cant take being keep in a closed space I like freedom so Id be very annoyed. Im not 100% sure how Id react though.

5 minutes -- no big deal, 30 minutes -- I have games on my cell phone --- 1 hour, good thing I carry book with me. Wouldn't be a big deal I would rather be stuck with a friend and as long as no one is going into labor (as always seems to happen on TV) i would be fine.

Considering my first day at my new job I got stuck in one.. I didn't do too bad, I was already stressed out. It was a perfect time to count titles and take a nap. I was stuck in there for 2 hours or so.

Maybe instinctually freak out for 0.5 seconds and then realize that I can probably ring the alarm bell or wait until someone realizes that there's something wrong with the elevator; and that someone will get help.

I would scream, panic, and hyperventilate. But most likely, i wouldn't get stuck in an eleveator anyways:]

I'd just sit in the corner, pointing at each person individually, laughing hysterically as I did.
