"Non life insurance" is a term used by India's Life Insurance Corporation. Every insurance that is not related to life insurance is referred to as "non life insurance". Examples are auto insurance, home insurance, health insruance, and business insurance.

Non Life Insurance also known as General Insurance means securing your assets against possible umpredictable events such as fire, disaster. etc.. It Provides insurance against everything else other than securing one's life.

Insurance is regulated and closely guarded business by a regulator and its country specific. There are n no. of companies in this business. Please be clear about which country you are talking about.
