Manning did almost nothing the entire game while Rhodes was the workhorse and was outstanding the whole way... I was also severely depressed by Manning's pissy attitude, complaining and yelling at the coaches every time they wouldn't let him pass. He was acting like a three year old giving his teammates and coaches no respect.
Teams usually have a team MVP award for the best player for the year, give that to Manning if you want, but he WAS NOT the best performer in the Super Bowl and received the award out of prestige alone.

Its simple, if the Bears had won, Urlacher would have been crowned MVP. The Colts won, so Manning was crowned MVP. Dominic Rhodes who? People don't want to see a no name player get mvp, people want to see Peyton Manning get MVP. Although, Rhodes put on one of the best super bowl performances i have ever seen. To bad players that deserve it dont get it.

Yes, hardcore. The Colts slowed the entire game down through their running game, which was part of the reason the Bears' D was so tired. Rhodes had over 100 yards and a TD. He was by far the MVP.

i imagine Rhodes/Addai co-MVPs may were extra perfect . Rhodes had an dazzling sport pondering he rushed for over one hundred yards hostile to the bears. Addai picked up countless necessary first downs as well. also to a lesser volume Colts DB Hayden together with his Int go back for a TD because it develop into that very last blow to the Bears. yet Peyton is one heck of a play caller which contributed to Addai and Rhodes fulfillment and they in common words had one automobile to grant away!

I thought the offensive line should have been the MVP, not just one person. Without those tough guys in the trenches where the war is fought, there would be no pass protection and no blocking. Adai got far more yards on his own than Rhodes.

anyone could have been the MVP.
Manning, the guy who executes the offense and is the most valuable on that team. Dominic Rhodes, who pounded the ball against the bears, Joseph Addai, who was all over the place, offensive line...
i personally the MVP's were the defense...especially the secondary

Not at all, Payton was the catalyst throughout the ENTIRE game, he ran the offense well and didn't turn the ball over, that equals victories (well, most of the time). He's a leader on and off the field, but I still am not a fan of him.

I agree. I think Rhodes or Addai should have been MVP.
Manning played well, but not an MVP performance.
