normally the buyer pays for survey...........
in most cases a survey has been recorded at courthouse and a clear deed/title is available...

is some case wheree land is divided the owner/seller pays...
mutual agreement can be reached to split payment also...

but buyer will be held liable for payment in most cases....

Everything is negotiable in real estate. You can ask the seller to either provide a copy of a survey or pay for one. There is no standards for anything!

this is negotiable, but since lenders don't require it anymore (at least in most states) Traditionally, its been up to the buyer to pay for one if they want one or if the seller can't provide one. Its a small item -a few hundred dollars, so noone should be offended if one is asked for

Survey or inspection? Which? many people use the term survey and don't realize it only sets the boundaries.

depends on what you write in to your contract. Do you have an agent you're working with?
