One morning I woke up after a long night of Facebooking friends, Answering Yahoo! people, and Myspacing long lost buddies from the past, I woke up. That's when all of a sudden I realized that it wasn't morning, it was 5:30 pm the next day, and the last thing I rememberred was sending my good buddy Brien a message on myspace that came out looking like a handful of magnetic letters thrown against a refridgerator. Why are these sites so addicting! I could have been an alcoholic or drug addict like college kids in the 60's and 70's, but no, this new addiction is the internet, and it's slowly taking control of our nation's youth. What can we do to stop it? Do we want it to stop? Suggestions? Answers? Please help!

First of all, your question made me smile...thanks for that. I think that we all posses addictive qualities. We like things that feel good or satisfy something about us. So when something new and exciting comes around we're bound to become totally immersed in it. Besides sending ur buddies comments on myspace is so much funner that doing work, homework or other presumably dull tasks.

Whoah! I think you are asking Gamblers why they like the Casino!! I think our youth would go for more games or adult excitement than dealing with Answers. Addiction? Can you stay off your PC to prove you are not addicted? This is human-interaction to me (or that's what it feels like) and it makes me relax. Then someone witty makes me laugh!! I doubt anyone is preventing suicide or creating internet socialism. Lighten up on yourself and prove you can and will take a break!! @8-)

Think of it this way with the internet you can virtually meet anybody and everybody all over the world OR you can get unplugged and go out the door and face the real world.

We can't stop it. Oh, no....It's much too late for that.
We're all doomed!!! The door to our innocence has been forever closed and locked and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
Crash and burn, baby. Crash and burn......
