If you meant Amebaisis, it is an intestinal parasite. Symptoms you would be expereincing may be nausea, loose stools, weight loss, abdominal tenderness and may be fever. The parasite creates cysts that are passed through your stools so, the doctor would have had to examine your stools in order to determine if you have this. The parasite can get outside the intestines and into other organs (extraintestinal amebiasis) if it gets bad enough but this is rare. There are treatment drugs for this, however the side effects of those available in the US have not been established, that I know of. You doctor would know I am sure. But be sure to eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of fluids. It is important for your unborn that you keep yourself well nurished and hydrated, even moreso than in an uncomplicated pregnancy because you are losing a lot due to nausea and loose stools, etc. Take care of yourself and be sure to wash your hand very well so as not to spread it. Hope this helps.

Amoebiasis
What did the Doc say? You should ask him/her all about it. What I read about it is not great, but I am not a Doc. Ask a professional about it!
