It's usually a safety issue. Some states have more dry brush that can easily catch on fire. Some states have too heavy of a population with no open areas to safely light fireworks in. Some states have bigger budgets for their firefighting departments, so can afford to have extra fire-fighters on hand that day to fight any fires started by fireworks.

Actually it varies by county. My county bans the sale and use of fireworks but the next county over can sell and use them legally.

From my veiwpoint, I believe it has to do with fire danger, and/or factors. See like where I live, we are banned from having ones that shoot up in the air. Most likely it has to do with the fact that it lands in a field and we end up burnt toast. Also it might have to do with population, you don't want it to misfire and come down on someone.

Every County has to make the call based on fire danger. Southern California has many restrictions because of the fire danger, but some areas are wet enough that it's safe.

fire codes....that's what it is.. fire works account for more fires on the 4th then any other holiday.. people misuse them and try to shoot them off at each other and at other peoples house.... hope this helps.. if you must shoot them off take them to an open field and have funnnnnnnnnn....just make sure there's no fire banned going on some states have bad grass fires and droughts....

maybe in some states their isn't enough money incase of fire or they just have stricter ways with the banning of fireworks. it all just depends, i tink?

Maybe the person who runs the town is afraid of the things that might happen on that day and they dont want to risk loosing there good name.
