I'm sorry that you don't have a father, I didn't have one either. I suspect that your mother loves you, knows the dangers of girls having sex before their married or at least before they are 18 y/o and better able to handle a pregnancy, and wants to save you from having these problems.
I would start by sharing with your mother that you like a boy a little bit or that some boy seems to like you. The more you and your mother talk the easier it will be for you both to talk about personal things.
Your mother needs to develop trust in you and that can only come about by you eventually sharing personal things with her and her learning that you will follow her advice.
At 11 y/o you are too young to date boys on a 1 to 1 basis. It's better to do group things with a number of girls and a number of boys. Something like ice skating, roller skating, or bowling.
I don't know what you mean by, "the ugly girl thing". I hope you don't mean your menstrual period. I know that some girls will think that I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm a guy. Be that as it may, I've always looked on girl's menstrual periods as a beautiful thing.
I know that it's messy, and a bother, and sometimes menstrual cramps are painful. But it's a sign that you are becomming a woman and it's part of your bodies way of preparing you to be able to have a baby.
After you are old enough and find a man that you love and loves you in return and get married, you will forget all the trouble when you have your first baby.
I was married for 17 years and never saw my x-wifes period as gross or unattractive. It may also help you if in addition to your mother, you can find a grown woman, like an aunt or family friend to share personal things with. Sometimes this is easier than with a parent.
Are you also saying that you are starting your first period and need advice about tampons and things like that? If that is the case you need to tell your mother about this even if it is a little difficult. She will have to buy your supplies for you and you won't be able to hide the fact that you have started having your periods.
God bless you honey. Maybe there are some grown men in your family that you can develop some degree of a father daughter relationship with. I know that if I were your uncle I would love that.

Honey your mom loves you very much and wants to protect you and care for you .....
She will know anyway about that time of the month.... Your clothes may get stained or things left in the garbage and it is better if she finds out from you....
Maybe write her a note and leave by her bed or next to the coffee pot before you leave for school....
This is very natural and all girls have it.... It is not ugly it gave you life ....
Yes you should talk to her about boys.... you may not always want to hear what she has to say but you need to respect her... she works very hard to support you and keep you safe....
