If you are a people watcher, yes. If you are a UFO conspiracy nut, yes. If you are just curious, yes. If it is just for bragging rights, I'd say no.

Roswell is the only place I have ever been that would compare with the Dallas Fort Worth airport. Now that is a place to set and watch what wanders by.

As far as conspiracies go, Roswell may be the mother lode. It easily compares with the site of JFK assassination. And there is a lot more to see.

But for bragging rights, I found the town fairly small, rather plain, and if not for the tourists, absolutely "Ho Hum" boring.

You guessed it, I went for the bragging rights. The people watching was all that salvaged the trip.

Enjoy, what ever you decide to do.

I was raised in Roswell and thank goodness I left...HOWEVER there is a fantastic museum (and not an alien one either) that has some awesome exhibits. There is a neat planetarium and of course there is all the alien hooplah.Just outside of town is bitter lakes national wildlife refuge (if you are in to that kind of thing). You could also go check out bottomless lakes which are sort of cool.

If you are coming in from the Texas side you could stop at the blackwater draw museum near Portales as well.

Unless you know somebody or are just interested in aliens, I wouldn't say it's worth the trip to go there.

Personally, I don't think so. I have passed through several times and never even stopped to check out the museums because various people have told me that it's not worth it.

But enjoy your trip!
