Someone with an AOL account is harrassing me. I did a who is look up and all i found out is that AOL owns the IP (i already knew that from the address). Is there a way for me to find out who this person is? Or does anyone have a brief on internet harrassment?

Enter the IP address at this site & it will tell you where they are geographicaly :

http://www.ip-adress.com/

You should file a complaint with your local police department. AOL (who can trace the exact user) will cooporate with them fully & the harrassment will stop.

go to http://www.dnsstuff.com

scroll down till you see the WHOIS section...

Put their IP ADDRESS in, yes it will say they are AOL< but it will also say what STATE and CITY they live in, or closest CITY to them...

Unfortanetly there is no direct way you can find out who they are. BUt you can contact AOL and tell them that specific IP ADDRESS is harrassing you, they can put a stop to it. ALso you could just block whoever it is...

Contact AOL and tell them one of their users is harrassing you. They may be able to help you. You can also block them from contacting you again.

Technicly no. I have an IP changer that allows me to browse 'anonymously' : ] But if you happen to have their ISP and IP then I think theres no stopping you
