The only group of people who can be considered Spanish are white people who originated from Spain.

Hispanic people are those originating from a country where Spanish is spoken but they are not from Spain nor are they white.

You would not call Americans English just because they speak English. The legal language in India is English and you certainly would not consider an Indian English.

The confusion comes from the Spanish stripping the Mexicans, Central and South Americans from their culture, religion and language. They were forced to adopt the Spanish way of life. Now, 400 years on they are still a bit confused.

They are Hispanics, cause they speak Spanish. The fact that they're different is not an excuse, it's about the language you speak, Latin American countries are different among themselfes too.

As far as the white Latin Americans, well, they are simply white Latin Americans, they are not "euro versions of latin americans", as well as whites from the US are not "euro versions from the US".

Dear Ponca-dumb. The question is if Spanish are HISPANICS or LATINOS, not SPANISH. Did you read the question anyway?

And there are whites in Latin America. The place where you were born does not change your race. Maybe I'm asking too much from people with your level of intelligence

No they don't really go in for that silliness. The Spanish are Spanish, just that, nothing less, nothing more. They are not Hispanics, they have entirely different culture, food and government.
