I took 2 equate pregnancy tests over 30 hours apart and got the same result each time. Because I had a baby over 4 months ago and only receieved 1 cycle about 5 weeks ago, I don't know what to do. Both times, there was a bright vertical line but a really faint horizontal line in the result window. Should I be worried?

I suppose its possible you have some left over hormone from the first pregnancy, but it sounds like you are probably pregnant again. congratulations and I'm sorry both seem appropriate at this point. Make an appointment with your doctor to make sure.

Your line should be getting darker as the level of hormone increases in your body. I say take another test in a day or two and see if it is darker, if it is I think you are probably pregnant and should see your doctor. Since it seems that your line is staying the same, very faint, it could be that you still have hormone left in your body from your recent pregnancy. Or maybe you are seeing evaporation lines or just have a bad batch of test. If you still have this problem in a few days, just go to your Dr. and have them check you out.

What do the instructions say? Usually for most tests, two lines means pregnant, no matter how faint, but I am unfamiliar with the brand - most tests have the lines face the same way (both vertical). Call the customer service line on the box if you can't figure it out from the instructions. Good luck.

I used the same brand of pregnancy test, yes, you are pregnant, I wouldn't be worried. Just call the doctor and make an Ob visit. Your baby will just have a little playmate sooner than you thought.
Best of Luck, and Congrats! Your Ob should be able to address any concerns you may have. I wish for you a healthy and safe pregnancy!

Are you still breastfeeding?? If so you will exhibit the hormones and cause false-positive on a pregnancy test. I would say you body is getting back in routine. I bled for 6 weeks after I had my daughter and then I didnt have a cycle again for 6 months. If you are that worried call your doctor.

My advice is to go and take a test with your doctor, my mother in-law has four children each conceived within two to three months after the lasts birth. The hormone needed to react with the test is only created within the body when pregnant, so if it was faint, you need to see a doc to confirm or squash the results.
