Yes! its a tough school to get into but don't let that stop you from trying to go there! Keep your grades up, participate in community service activities, take on leadership roles but stick with a few activities that you really care about. Write a great essay and get really good recommendations from people that know you well! It has a beautiful campus and an excellent engineering program....as well as other excellent programs...its a good school...just put in the effort and you never know...you could get in!

Yes. Columbia is an Ivy League school. You'll have to work hard if you want to get in. You need great grades and lots of community service. However, don't try to do too many things. Colleges will know you aren't sincere if you're the President of every club at school, Captain of 3 varsity teams, Editor of the school paper, and volunteer at a hospital and a soup kitchen. Find things that interest you, and pursue them!
I know two people who just got accepted there. They're both very smart and nice people. Be yourself and get good recommendations! Good SAT scores and a killer essay help too.

well, that depends.... upon your grades, test scores, etc.
they definitely do not accept the average student. if you are top of your class, then you definitely have a chance.
