Ok, so he won one Super Bowl and was gifted the MVP (Rhodes with over 100 yards and a TD, anyone?), but who didn't see that coming? When will people realize it's only one ring though and stop ranking him among the best? Or are we punished to a lifetime of unwarranted pro-Manning hype?

He is the best QB of all time period. You can hate and be jealous all you want and talk about QBs that have multiple Super Bowl rings it doesnt matter Manning is the best QB ever. This is what I wrote a month ago and you can check my profile.

The way he can pick apart different defensive schemes and his audibles are amazing. I know Im young but when you compare his stats to other legends Manning can hold his own. I know there are going to be some people who only believe that great players win superbowls but I dont care. I think he will be the best QB ever if the can play for at least 5 more seasons even if the doesn't get to win a superbowl.

In about a hundred years, when the next Peyton Manning comes along. In your opinion, if Mr Manning is not the best, then who is? Joe Montana? He does have 4 rings, and is considered among the greatest. Bart Starr? He has 2 rings and 3 NFL championships, as well as 3 consecutive titles(65,66, and 67). Terry Bradshaw? Again 4 rings, and is considered the best of the 70's. Brett Favre? Only 1 ring, but will break all of Marino's records. Tom Brady? 3 titles, and will have more, when done I think he will be mentioned among Starr, Montana, etc. Dan Marino? My personal vote, prior to Peyton. He didn't win a title, but other than Peyton, who would you want if you needed to win 1 game? Let us know who YOU like, you failed to mention that...... possible sour Bear grapes????? :)

Peyton may not be the best QB ever, but hes the best QB i saw TODAY by faaaaar!!!!! I do agree that Rhodes should have gotten MVP for the game today, but come on...Peyton's the man! And we arent just ranking him based on his rings...there are these things called "stats" and "records" that you should check out sometime...maybe that will help you to undrstand why Peyton IS ranked among the best. Numbers dont lie dude. Get over it and quit bein a cry baby!

Of course he's the best. Hello, Arthur Rhodes is a running back, so you cant compare arthur rhodes( rb) and peyton manning ( qb). At least he won a super bowl, unlike dan marino. But marino is a great qb also. Look at this guys seasonal stats. He's come from another planet. He threw 49 TD passes in 15 games. This guy is from Mars.

I think Manning reigns for at least a year. He worked very
hard to get where he's at. He's a wonderful athlete, a good
sport, a Christian, and a gentleman. Good to see people
like that win the MVP (and a red Cadillac). All the players
won big bucks, you know. Both teams got rings to wear.
I don't think it was easy for any of them playing in the rain.
The fans deserve a pat on the back too...paying big bucks
to sit in three hours of rain.

Good question. To a lot of old schoolers, Elway,Marino,Aikman,Young, etc.,will always be ranked among the highest. I'm sorry to say the Peyton hype will never die because the guy is pretty damn good...I wouldn't say the best ever, not yet,but there is no doubt,he ranks very high..

Never.
You know why?
Because he IS the best. He's got the records to back it up. He finally made it to a Super Bowl and won after having to listen to crap for nine seasons of playing NFL football. The man was born to play football, and you'll have to deal with his hype for a good long time to come. Especially since his playing days are far, far from over.

Lets all remember that he is the number one QB in the NFL currently and he is amazingly talented. Look at all the records he's broken. And he's finally overcome the thing that the press has been talking about. His "nerves" during play offs. He's earned this. I wouldn't say he is the best QB ever, but he is the best right now and he will go down in history as ONE of the best ever.

First of all noone every said he was the best QB ever, however he definately is a hall of famer. He & Harrison hold the record for touchdowns between a QB and WR. They beat Young and Rice, and they're both hall of famers.
