I received a few bonds when I was little however they seem to have been misplaced over the years. Is there a way I can try to find and claim these funds?

Go to www.savingsbonds.org. Also check with a personal banker at your local bank. They may be able to assist you. I do know when bonds are purchased they have the social security number of the purchaser and the social security number of the person who the bond is for so you should have these available. If the bonds were purchased by a parent or grandparent you can see if they have the purchase receipts that may also help. Hope I have been able to help a little. Good luck.

You need to file a claim with the Bureau of Public Debt - you can get a form from this website:
