I mean, come on. Dungee, Manning, the Colts manager (can't remember his name), and many other players overcoming their personal trials through faith, making it to the playoffs, only to face a team that's beaten them in too many past playoffs...The Patriots.
Then you have the nerveracking game between the two teams that would rival any last minute game in any sports movie to date, then have the underdogs barely getting a win, then going to the Super Bowl.
Then there would be the Super Bowl game which, while not being as close as the other one, was just as good. Then to have them win, and have them give God the Glory, understanding what's really going on!?

I mean, come on!

Would this not make an amazing sports movie?

Ok, I may be a little byessed, being from IN. So, therefore, my point of view might be a little diffrent then how other people saw it.

ANd I guess I also failed to mention that the Colts have not been to the Super Bowl in 25 years and (to my knowldege) I don't think they've ever won a Super Bowl till now (though, when they were the Baltimore Colts I think they won at least one title, but that was a long, long time ago).

That's a bit of a reach. With parody in the NFL, everything gets done three times over. The only way you could make a movie out of a team winning would be if the Raiders or Lions did worst-to-first thing next year (or any other team that did that). But even that is pushing it.

I agree, just another uninspiring superbowl win. But I think it would be cool to do a movie about the saints season. Think about it. There stadium just reopened after having to play somewhere else the year before cuz of hurricane Katrina.
Came from about dead last in the standings to playing in this years nfc championship, which being for the first time in franchise history.. And giving alot of the New orleans folk hope and something to believe in while the city is rebuilding.
Now that would be a movie.
