Uh, why not Intel's Core 2 Duo? Even AMD fanboys admit that Intel's kicking AMD's butt in pure performance and overclocking capability. Get a e6300 and a competent motherboard, like the previous poster said. I wouldn't pay 200 bucks for any AMD CPU, since an overclocked e6300 owns all of them, even the FX-62.
While you're at it, for the hard drive, get a 320 GB Seagate 7200.10 drive. It's almost as fast as the famous 10000 RPM Raptors.
Video card is cheap, so save your $ for mid-range DirectX 10 cards. You might want to upgrade to a 7600 gs at $100.
Otherwise, it all looks good. It appears that you're squeezed for cash, but still, try and get a C2D system. You'll be able to upgrade to a much faster system later on.
Don't forget about the case :) You probably can't afford Lian Li quality, but Antec and Thermaltake look like good manufacturers.
Also, don't even think about SLI with that PSU. You might squeeze out some power, but nowhere enough for a SLI system. I'm not even sure if it can take a dedicated sound card.

I think you would do better with a Core 2 Duo system. AMD was kicking Intel's butt until the Core 2 Duo came out.
With that being said if you stick with the AMD I would get the retail version of the processor you listed it's cheaper, comes with a heat sink and fan (OEM doesn't come with heat sink and fan) and has a 3 year warranty where the OEM has a 1year warranty

You could also get a DVD burner for about $1.00 cheaper when you factor in shipping here are 2 I saw

Hard Drive switch to SATA you can get a littler larger drive for the same money. The motherboard you listed only has one IDE connector which means you can hook up 2 IDE devices it is better to keep your hard drive off of the IDE channel an optical drive is connected to.

If you can afford it step up to a little better video card here are 2. I would go with the 7600GT but if money is really tight go with the 7600GS

I don't like the motherboard, the cpu, the power supply, nor the video card.
I would suggest these changes:
Motherboard:
ASUS P5B LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131030
CPU:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6300 - Retail
Link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115005
Power Supply:
SeaSonic S12-430 ATX12V 430W Power Supply - Retail
Link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817151023
Video Card:
EVGA 256-P2-N615-TX GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail
Link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130062
With these changes you will have a much much faster cpu, and it's ***CHEAPER***(187$ usd). The power supply is much more efficient and better quality than what you picked. 34$ for a power supply? don't even think about it. And the video card I selected offers a lot better performance for not that much more money.

The payoff to building your own box isn't quite what it used to be. If you like to be picky about components you're using there's some sites out there that have a decent range of options.
http://www.ibuypower.com is one of the better ones
they'll put that same system together for you and throw in a 1 year warranty for less than the total cost of your parts
