you can use "nut" as both.

verb: "when pleasuring myself, i usually nut in some kleenex."

adj: "give me that nut cracker". in this case, nut modifies the noun "cracker", so it becomes an adjective since adjectives modify nouns and nouns only. sorry for the graphic first example. it's all i could think of.

You can use numb as a verb AND an adjective!

The dentist will numb your tooth before he begins.

My tooth is numb now.

adjective: nonsensical, notorious, nimble, nocturnal, nosy, nasty, noisy, etc...
