When giving gifts I like to make them something unique and personal such as something the person wouldn't need but may find interesting . Many people collect certain items such as coke memorabilia or curio's and stuff so if I'm aware of that I'll search out something special for their collection. I have a niece who collects elephant figurines so I recently went hunting and found a nice one for her. For kids many have stuffed animal collections and special toys they are fond of so I just try and tailor the gifts to the individual . Flea markets are a good source for finding unique gifts you may not find elsewhere . Also I've been to a store called worlds of wonder which sells unique items or perhaps an earth and science store . As long as you personalize the gift I don't think you can go wrong in your choice. Good hunting !

Well, I could really use some new potholders. *lol* gift ideas for who?
Think about the person. What are their interests...do they read, draw, watch movies, listen to music? Are they going to school, could they use money or books or a gas card...I once gave my brother 2 rolls of quarters for his birthday because he never had change for the laundry. Do they cook? New cookware or dishes are always nice. Towels, sheets, bed-sets, new shower curtains...how old are they, do they have a house or an apartment. do they garden?
Just think about them and what they like or what they might need. It doesn't have to be expensive to be appreciated. One of the best presents I ever got was eight yards of Thomas the Tank Engine fabric. I'd been wanting to make curtains and pillows for my son's room and couldn't find the fabric.

Since I don't know for who I would have to say a gift card is the safest route to go!
