I started it..

1. Supplement = 4 times -45
2. Let m = angle measure
180 - m = the supplement

Let the angle be A.So its supplement is 180-A and its complement is 90-A
Therefore 180-A=4(90-A)-45
=>180-A=360-4A-45
=> -A+4A=360-45-180=135
=>3A=135
=>A=135/3=45
Hence the angle is 45 degrees

1. Let m = angle measure
[thus, 180-m would be the supplement; 90-m would be the complement]
2. 180 - m = 4 x (90 - m) - 45 [Talk it out: "The supplement is equal to 45 less than 4 times the complement." See it?]
3. 180 - m = (4 x 90) - (4m) - 45
4. 180 - m = 360 - 4m - 45
5. 180 - m + 4m = 360 - 4m + 4m - 45
6. 180 +3m = 360 - 45
7. 180 - 180 + 3m = 360 - 45 - 180
8. 3m = 135
9. 3m/3 = 135/3
10. m = 45

if m is the angle measure
180 - m is the supplement
90 - m is the complement
and
the supplement is 45 less than 4 times the complement,

supplement = 4 * complement - 45

so
180 - m = 4(90-m) - 45
180 - m = 360 -4m - 45
3m = 135
m = 45

Here is how I Solved your equation:

1. sup=4(comp)-45
2. 180-m=4(90-m)-45 Use substitution
3. 180-m=360-4m-45 Distributive property
4. 180-180-m+4m=360-180-4m+4m-45 combine like terms
5. 3m=180-45
6. 3m=135 divide both sides by 3
7. m=45

That's it!
