Lol, dude, you're pretty well-informed. Most people have no idea what DirectX 10 is.

Anyways, mid-range DirectX 10 are supposed to arrive sometime this year, I think. They'll be much cheaper than the current Directx 10 cards.

These two articles cite cards at 100-200 bucks each. These seem to be pretty reasonable prices for mid-range cards. Google Directx 10 and you might find more info.

Depends on what graphics card you have now. Assuming the card you have now is rather old I would get the 7900GS. If you have a fairly new card just wait.

ATI is supposed to be releasing a DirectX 10 card this month so competition is always a good thing for prices. Even with that it will be a while before the prices come down to the $200 range.

Price will probably not drop for a while...

As far as I know there are only 2 current Graphics Cards which support the full benefits of Directx 10.

I wouldnt buy it unless you absolutely need it.

Dont just get it cause its there and people say its cool, if you can still do everything you normally do everyday on the computer with no trouble at all, no reason to really get it.

Not right now, because Nvidia has the monopoly of DX10 right now, with their 8800GTS/GTX cards. Wait until ATI takes out their DX10 cards, then Nvidia will have to drop prices.

ATI should be releasing their new DX10 cards soon.
