Our local paper ran a story last week. About a man who started an internet campaign saying he wanted to propose to his fiancee during the Super Bowl and asked for donations to pay for the ad. He got to about 75,000.00(not a bad haul, but only a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of a Super Bowl ad)when a corporate sponsor paid for the ad, the ring, and planned to tape her response live. They said it would appear in the 4th quarter but never played. Did anyone else hear about this? And does anyone know what happened that this did not occur. Thank you.

I heard about the campaign, but if it didn't run as planned, shouldn't everyone get their donations back...or was this the biggest scam in recent memory?

I heard the same thing on a local radio station, and a bunch of us were talking about it at work. My guess is, either not enough money, or not enough balls.
