The only people they get for the so called "talent" for the Super Bowl are idiots that have been over since the 80's. Who the hell wants to hear from the Rolling Stones, Janet Jackson, Prince and Fogerty??? Junk. Let me know what you guys think.

I never said I like Britney spears and teeny bopper music. I am not a teenager. I am married, with two sons. I just love football and think that it is a waste of my time to watch these performances. I don't have a problem with 80's music, either. I just think that we could do better. That is all i'm saying.

THANK YOU! My husband and I got in a big fight over that tonight, I was making fun of it and asking who wants to hear Purple Rain and I also mentioned the fact that he sang a foo fighters song instead of his own because no one wants to hear PRINCE but he got mad saying I didnt know what I was talking about and people still like him and I just dont listen to the radio stations that play Prince. I was like what the 80's station? I so totally agree with you!!!
The hair flip thing from the dancers was a nice touch! I am so kidding about that!

Because if you can afford to go to the Superbowl - you are obviously older and making big bucks. How many people in their 40's+ want to hear rappers or teeny-bopper groups? Also - if people like Prince or the Rolling Stones are "idiots" as you put it, then why have they stood the test of time? Could it be they are good musicians and songwriters? I daresay they will be remembered long after Britney Spears and other flash in the pan artists.

I like the Rolling Stones but I don't like the others. But I don't watch the super bowl so it doesn't really matter to me. But I heard Prince hired head bangers and that is the lamest thing I have ever heard!

Because there is no true talent in this era. You can't name a single artist from this era that can put on a show on the caliber of any of the people you are disrespecting from the 80's. One that is decent enough for a family audience to watch. Name an one artist? Go ahead, I'll wait...

I'm a metal (all kinds) fan and the only part of the sb that I watched was the halftime show (not a big football fan). Prince released his first album when I was in seventh grade and I hated it then and I still own none of his music; but I thought the halftime show was awesome.

You know what is weird. I had a perdiction Prince would do it this year since VH1 started doing them because of the Janet Jackson issue. And since last year they had the Rolling Stones. Uh yeah I agree... THEY NEED SOMEONE DECENT!!!

I was hoping Prince would fall in the rain. That would have made it a good show.
