wear crosses around their necks and have scantily dressed women dancing provacitively around them in their videos? Religion has become a fashion statement? It disgusts me. You cannot get more hypocritical than wearing the symbol of a religion you make fun of. Let alone with gems imbedded on the cross, made of gold or silver, is hypocritical itself... they have to disgrace people's religions along with disrespecting the female race. Well. I have to give them something: You can't spell "crap" without "rap."

well i do agree with you. however let us not forget how provocative female artist protray themselves(and i'm pretty sure they thank God at award ceremonies too). me being a fan of hip hop i can honestly advise you to not judge "rappers" in general. not all of them do what you describe. many of them have never grew in a environment where one would approach them and share with them the Gospel. they have not experienced the teachings of Jesus' humility upon that cross win which they wear aroung their neck. it took approx. 22 of my 25 years before someone shared that story with me. before that i was attending church and not knowing why, thinking i did. i also learned that you don't bash these people, you pray for them. if you bash them, you are insulting God's children, good or bad and sins cannot be weighed against each other. they are sins alike. and finally, hip hop and rap are just a few genre in music. there are sinners in rock, pop, country, and all else. so with respect to you and all who answered: don't single out the hip hop community, the devil prey upon whom he seem fit, and in his eyes not everyone is shouting "Praise God" and meaning it in their hearts. God Bless.

It's image, I can't believe you fall for it. That stuff sells, and if it makes money you think they're gonna stop? What you need to be asking is why do MILLIONS of people buy their albums!

That what's sells honey. Why? I don't know. Money is the root of all evil. This "trend" will go away...eventually.
