Try some vaseline, that will protect her nose and instead of wiping it, dab it. Put the vaseline on it as needed...if it looks dry, put some on there! Hope she's feeling better soon!! Oh, and even if her nose wan't raw, she probably wouldn't like having it wiped!!! Its a baby thing! Good luck!

You need Infants Tylanol Cold. .6 is normal dose for a 6 month old. Although if your child still sounds conjested after 2 days or so i'd go ahead and have her be seen by a doctor. My child peditrician says sometimes the tylanol cold can mask the problem... which can cause more serious issues. But its perfectly fine for short term use!

Wipe her nose with a warm damp washcloth until it heals. Then in the future use unscented baby wipes to wipe her nose. I have them all over the house, like Kleenex boxes. I like Huggies pop up wipes, unscented, no alcohol.
Right now you can use some neosporin under her nose, it doesn't burn. So sorry your baby was sick and has the raw nose. I know it breaks your heart when they are in pain and don't feel well. Babies heal fast and it'll be over soon hon.
Take care!!

I found two things that help with this (besides Vaseline). 1. the stick form of Carmex chapstick - it also really soothes dry noses. 2. Gerber makes a stick facial moisturizer. I just threw ours out last week, but it looks bigger than chapstick (like a gluestick or a little bigger) and I think it's called baby faces or little faces.
Good luck - hope the baby feels better soon.

Vaseline works really good. I have been sick for about a week and my nose got really dry, red and hurt. So I put some vaseline on and it is working really good. Just an idea.

use a little Vaseline on the nose to lubricate it . it will be a little slimy but will help her feel better and try buying the tissues with the lotion in them and use them to wipe the nose they help also. they also make over the counter stuff called little noses and it is safe for infants.

I use baby wipes cut in 1/2 to wipe their noses and Eucerin cream on their faces. My boys never mind having there noses wiped.

A thin coat of vaseline everytime you wipe it or a tiny bit of neosporin plus. It has antibiotic properties as well as a pain reliever.

A &D ointment works really well. It will protect her nose and heal it up.
Also, try wet wipes like Pampers sensitive when wiping her nose. That is what I use and it is much gentler on their noses. Hope that helps!
