I feel that I do and am very grateful to everyone who has helped me by answering questions that I have posted in the past.

Yes. l think so. Most especially the people in the Family & Relationship section. They follow the advices given them because some would write back thanking those who had helped.

If I ask for advice (rather than a joke question) I always take the answers into consideration and am grateful for people's responses.

I have and I hope a lot of people here are really serious abut the advice they give and the thought they put into these answers.
On occasion - the humorous answers can provide a well needed laugh!

Yes if I ask a serious question I listen to all the advice and act upon it.
I think people often do rely on your advice, because they leave comments or e-mail you to say how helpful you've been and how much they appreciate it.

I consider the advice that is given me, except for the crappy stuff left by people who are just here to insult others. I asked a question tonight that got 23 honest (I think) responses, which I appreciated.

I don't know; there have come enough trolls recently that I don't know if some of the questions are even serious.
