Call the county assessor and tax office in your county, I've done that and found the info I want. I say call both just to double check. You can also find out from the assessor what the current owner paid for it and when so you'll know if their trying to make a killing on the property.

The county in which the house will have this info as well as current owner, past owners and any and all leins on the property. You should be able to access this info via the web by typing in something like denvercounty.gov or google your county and tax accessor.tmarie
