If so, do they have a "gun" room, that has other weapons such as a submachine gun? Because a pistol is nothing. If terrorists went to the Whitehouse to attempt to kill the President, im sure the terrorists would be heavily armed with SMGs if not Assault Rifles.

I'm not sure that they'll be too forthcoming with the armament list and plans for defense, but the assumption is that individual agents are lightly armed. However, the strength of the group is vastly strengthened by a highly-redundant and efficient communications network and a high degree of planning and training. It is known that shoulder-fired Stinger missiles, which can bring down an aircraft, are on hand wherever the President is, and the security director near the President is always aware of the air traffic in the area. Presumably there are also gas masks and the like.
Note that the requirements for an outfit like the Secret Service are somewhat different from those of, say, an army battalion. That's because the Service is essentially a defense force: they don't have to blow their way into fortresses, or mow down lines of enemy soldiers. They just have to cover their guy and get him out safely.

And gun rooms are stocked with full assault rifles and high power rifles. Oh don't forget the 50 cal. machine guns they have and anti aircraft weapons too.
But if you think a pistol sucks. A secret service agent are top.001% marksmen they aim and will hit their mark not just spray bullets all over the place.

Ummmmmm, that would be a no. They have an entire armory at the White House and out of sight but with immediate access for them. There are secret service agents that do nothing but guard all day, all night 24/7/365 They are never off duty.

No. They have plenty of weapons. Next time you are in DC take a look at the roof of the White House. There are agents with SAMs stationed up there. Handguns are just the tip of the Iceberg.

A pistol is not "nothing". The American made hunting pistol can kill a bear, some with accuracy to 600 yards(I can prove all that). You watch to much tv.
