What position does the coach have in mind for you?
That would probably be a good place to start
12.7 for 100 yrds is not overly fast for the backs most centres or wingers would be more in the range of 11secs flat. Mind you at 225 lbs or 100kgs you have bulk to go with reasonable speed
I guess it also depends how much of that 225 is body fat. If you are 225 and less than 8% body fat then no wonder the coach wants you
I would probably without seeing you suggest 2nd row or lock
but the coach is in a better position to judge. The one thing that I'll tell you for sure is that Rugby and American Football (AF) are 2 totally different games when it comes to aerobic stamina and fitness. You have to be MUCH fitter to play rugby. You DO NOT get the amount of rest between plays as you do in AF. So If you decide to change to Rugby you need to realise you will be working much harder on your aerobic fitness.
The bench press mark is good. but its most important to work the legs too. Look at leg presses and arm, shoulder and neck work.
Most importantly your weights should not just be high weight low rep but you should also mix in more lower weight higher reps into your overall weight training regime. this builds up more lean faster twitch muscle fibre.
Look your coach should know all this cause thats his job.
My suggestion is, that unless you have goals to play College ball and then NFL go for it give Rugby a try. It can open up a world of opportunities. The game is played in over a 100 countries and you can make great world wide contacts.

you could play lock or loose forward - no 8 would be a good one for you as you are not slow
or you could even play wing or centre in the backline
have a look at some rugby games to get an idea of what theydo

You could be a great wingforward; lock or win 5/8, like Jonah Lomu or John Kirwan .

You would be a great forward. YOu would have to get used to all of the squating, but you could learn to run people over with the ball and could learn to takle pretty hard with your size!!!! Maybe second row!

well id say you need to put more weight on, your quite tall n that makes you really easy to tackle, the taller you are the harder you'll fall.
so just put on more weight, preferably muscle n you'll be a proper tank- that'll make you a good player trust me
and id say you would make a great forward, no.8 or second row
