I have a top loading maytag clothes washer that rocks back and forth on spin cycle. My load is as balanced as I can get it but it still rocks. Is there a quick fix?

Yes... have someone tilt it while you adjust the screws or legs. Try to get each one at the same level. You don't even need any tools.

All top load machines have tank or drum supports. Most likely you will need to have these replaced. They are made of rubber and have a loop or hole that a screw or small bolt goes through.
There are several. They are not that expensive and you can get them online (www.RepairClinic.com ) If one or two are broken, the tank will not spin level no matter how much you adjust the feet. If you call a service tech, you can expect to pay over $100.00 for parts and labor. Hope this helps.

If the machine is brand spanking new, the manufacturers install a shipping brace inside of the unit to keep the tub from banging around while in transport. Remove the back of the unit by removing the screws by using a standard screwdriver or a 1/4 or a 5/16 socket. Pull out the brace, either cardboard or plastic and reinstall back of unit, re-level machine. It doesn't have to be perfectly level, but it helps. And you should be good to go!! Good Luck.

on the botton of the mashine there are screw legs to level the machine. figure out which one isn't touching the floor all the way by pushing down on all 4 corners of top of machine to see if it rocks, then unscrew that leg down. or you can put a board of folded up cardboard under the high leg fo a quick fix

It sounds like it is not balanced properly, the "feet" on the bottom are adjustable...you need to find out (with a level) if it is or is not balanced, you can adjust them by screwing in or out...

try looking at the feet (they adjust) your floor might be slanted a bit and the feet need adjusting. (or just need adjusting because it's been rocking for some time.)
