no not really. if it started lightning they would have done something, but it didn't. They are smart about safety of players and fans, and the crew.
Football is played in all kinds of weather. Up north they play in snow. In the south, the heat. And everywhere, rain. Those who don't have to deal with the wind,rain,and snow are the domes.
*to the guy above me...indy plays in a dome*
*they don't play up north, unless its a dome, due to the fact ITS FLIPPING COLD!*

Football is meant to be played outdoors. I wish they'd schedule a few outdoor northern Superbowls - maybe 1 every 5 years. Wouldn't it be awesome to see a Superbowl at Lambo Field, or Soldier Field? It'd be unbelievable.
