i have a ghost knife fish. and i am getting anouther fish tank and im thinking of getting anouther one for company.i'v called stores and say two together is ok.but some people on the web say no.what should i do?

Most info I have on these say that while peaceful with other fish they can't eat, they will fight among themselves (at least as they get older): http://www.elmersaquarium.com/10knifefish.htm, http://badmanstropicalfish.com/profiles/profile66.html.

Another item to consider is that these navigate by a mild electrical impulse, so keeping them with other fish that use the same method of navigation is confusing to them (other knifefish, elephant nose). well black ghost knives are blind fish, so as long as they have places to hide in (caves etc,) they should be fine ive never heard of any problems. another good tank mate would be an elephant nose of a similar size
