In Kentucky there is a law that says it’s illegal to carry "Ice cream" in your pockets! The law covers any kind of sweets, from cake to sugar. Why? Well in the old days when the most common transportation was riding a horse, some horse thieves found a loop hole. They could claim that any horse was theirs, when the owner said no its mine, a third party made each person stand a few feet away and whoever the horse followed was determined the owner. Horses love sweets so if the thief had a pocket full of sugar, or whatever the horse was more likely to follow them. When the law makers found out what was going on it was put on the books, and has remained there ever since.

In Lexington you're not drunk if you can hold onto the sidewalk (despite failing other sobriety tests).. Not sure the logic behind that one...
As for the ice cream in the pants law...
The old law does not need to be repealed or discarded. It is no longer enforced and any sensible judge who had a case of that nature would laughingly dismiss it.

Kentuc has a law that you can bury your dead under your porch if you want to. Does that make it right??? And I just can't see anyone reporting you for carrying a mounds bar in your pocket.

If all legislatures had to get rid of their stupid laws, we would have freedom from more oppression for awhile while they sorted the garbage out. Its not likely to happen though.
