Most of my life I've had more male friends than female... I don't know why...

Barbie and Voltron were both fun, but I always had more male friends ...!! ;)

My very good (male) friend said to me the other day "don't you think it's a bit weird that you've got mostly male friends??"

It annoyed me, but got me thinking...

I honestly think i'm just not your average girly-type gal....

I do have a few close female friends though....

Maybe I'm a bit of a black sheep...? -- As I've never had a set group of friends, it's always been individual friends from different walks of life!!!

Thoughts guys?

Cheers.

I was the same way growing up. Boys did all the cool things. Mostly girls were busy talking about the latest fashion, what boy was coolest and make up and all that other girlie stuff. The boys didn't waste time talking about who did what and such. They did things. I was a real tomboy. I wanted to be outside doing things. I learned how to change tires, spark plugs, oil. I learned how to make things in wood. I learned how to hunt but would sooner hunt with a camera.
I had a lot more in common with the guys than the girls. The girls thought I was weird and mostly didn't want to be around me. I did have a few close girlfriends.
Since then I have discovered that I am not weird, just my own perosn. When i finally met the man I wanted to marry, he didn't think I was weird either. He liked that I could help him do things like that. He also liked that I could cook and sew just as well.
Now, I have good friends of both sexes and of all ages.
People like us are not really uncommon. There are lots of us out there but since we are usually hanging around with the guys, we don't run into them often since the guys wouldn't be guys if they had too many like us hanging around.
My daughter grew up to be a lot like me. She is now married to a wonderful man who appreates those same qualities. They are not just husband and wife. They are best friends too.
So don't let it bother you. Just keep being who you are, a unique and special person.

some girls have more guy friends than female friends.. it seems that you are much more comfortable with your guy friends but that doesnt mean you are a lesbian... some girls trust guys more than there girl friends.but dont worry, your not a lesbian as long as your not attracted/in love with your same sex.

me too. i'm girly but girls are vindictive & by nature they're not nice. i wouldn't say anything mean to hurt my own kind *lol* but it's true. you & i both know that girls are catty. guys aren't & they make awesome friends. don't worry about it. i thought the exact same thing but guys are just nicer to me.

don't worry about it, guys are easier to hang out with, and they don;t make a big deal out of everything.
hope this helps.
