I can put my gas pedal to the floor and it still takes me 2 blocks to get over 25 miles an hour. My car has been to the mechanic, everything has been checked out. It's 14 years old. I was reading one of those fuel injector bottles and it talks about increased acceleration. Do those products that you add to your gas tank really do anything or are they just a waste of money?

Don't think that will help you...with your vehicle not increasing in speed with pedal to the floor, you have other problems.. Like low compression, out of time, low fuel pressure, misfiring on cylinders, or even tranmission not starting out in correct gear.. email me back with more information..maybe i can help

i use techron in my car with no problem, just follow the directions, add it before you top off the tank so it mixes well and use it regularly. You may need to change the fuel filter after a few thousand miles until it cleans the fuel system. Once cleaned you should be OK. Have you tried doing an upper induction cleaning of the fuel system yet? Most shops can do this for you , takes about 45 minutes and costs about $75. But the cleaner cleans the injectors, plugs, valves and piston tops of all carbon deposit build up. Then start the techron regiment. good luck.....

being 14 years old the cat may be plugged.take the exhaust loose from the engine and drive it to see if that cures it.but make sure the pipes are secured so not to fall while driving. if it runs better replace the cat
