I can find a replacement for her original but the price is $159. I was just wondering if I can buy a generic brand and program it to work with her car. If so, let me know where to buy and how to find out what the code would be. Help!!

Just buy an OEM GM one off ebay, less than dealership. Stick with OEM or you will have issues or even not be able to get into the car at times.

Not unless, you want to spend more money than what a new remote cost...just go to dealership parts and purchase a new remote, providing the car came with one from the factory. most of the time, a service advisor will program new remote for you..if you slip him a few dollars, then again, sometimes for free..But a new remote shouldn't cost over 80.00, unless the price you hae quoted included the programming..

Buy one on ebay. Usually they will include instructions on how to program the remote to the car. It's very easy.

I would call the local Buick Dealer and ask them for a code. They should help. Good Luck!
