What are some educational/training requirements of being a photgrapher?

Typically there are no educational requirements, but each employer is different. You just need a good portfolio to show your work, and freelance photographers often don't have to even apply for a job.

The most important thing about becoming a photog is not taking pictures -- almost everyone can take decent images -- it is about learning to market your work. So business classes and marketing strategies are most important when considering taking any schooling.

You take a camera and shoot. You don't have to have a degree to do this. Just a passion and a talent.
