I think by looking at the world through the eyes of Forrest Gump is great because the innocence that sometimes we lose in our adult life, was not lost by him therefore making us look at the world in a decent, kind, heartwarming and an unbiased way.

Seeing the contrasts between Forrest and the other people in his life and how he changes them. You can watch Jenny spiral downwards and then somehow find her way back up at the end, redeeming herself. Same with Lt. Dan (the best actor ever!) and how he eventually came to peace with the fact that he wasn't killed at war.

I think it's just a great pick me up movie. Forrest is so likable, you really feel for him during the happy moments and feel sad for him during the sad moments.

i think that what makes the movie good is that the director is trying to look through a mentally challenged person and the problems and the horrible things the mentally challenged people have to go through that's why i think it is a good movie and why

Forrest is just adorable and cute, he's so simple and loving, it just makes the movie worth while.I was so happy when he finally married Jenny, even though she died, it was sweet.
