My father and I have been in a long debate over who is better.
I say Batman triumphs over Superman.

Okay so Superman is great but he was born that way. Batman had to teach himself and learn all the moves. Would Superman be great on his home planet? NO! So of course it's Batman. This is earth. He has no special healing powers or powers that keep him from getting hurt like Superman. If Superman felt all the pain every time he feel down or got hit like Batman does do you think he'd still be out there fighting? NO!
It's Batman all the way!!!!!!!

Having collected both comics for a few years... and knowing the troubles that both have been through.. I have to say that Batman is by far the best.. simply because he is much smarter than Superman.. and he doesn't simply have to use brawn but his brains and wits to get him by... But Superman is simply an alien that has extraordinary powers that make him nearly indestructible.
If you think about it... Batman knows how to kill Superman.. and he knows how to hide from Superman.. those two facts give Bats the advantage.

Batman cause he would have figured out how he'd win before the fight even started. He does indeed know how to take down every member of the Justice League if need be, that was actually a center of one of the episodes of the cartoon on Toonami in which one of the villains gets a hold of his book with all that information and goes around beating the hell out of the others. So I'd obviously give it to Batman, this is a guy who keeps a piece of Kryptonite on him just in case for God's sake.

Superman will always hold back, which is why Batman beat him in The Dark Knight Returns. In terms of powers, Superman would just burn him to ashes with his heat rays from a far.

If they had time to prepare for the fight I fully believ that Superman would win in a fight. Batman would come in with a plan and everything along with kryptonite but superman would wear lead. Even if Batman was able to get around that Superman would still pull it out. In an episode of Superman, the cartoon show, Superman nearly took over the world and no one could stop him, Batman didn't even bother with it. When he regained himself he went to Apocalypse and kicked the s*** out of the one guy, whose name escapes me, and all his main hench men. When he fought Batman Batman was tossed aside.

Well Batman really doens't have super powers. He just has gadgets and money. I like superman. He just needs a new costume. Most of those super heros wear the underwear over their pants. LOL. But ya supermans better.

It all depends on the situation.
If we are talking about a "steel cage" match Superman would wipe the floor with Batman.
If you are talking about just plain "going to war" where they both have access to all of thier resources it is very unlikely that Batman would lose to ANYONE. He does not have any of Superman's powers, but he would find a way.
Batman ALWAYS finds a way. Superman or not. He has beaten him before in the comics.
