i am getting 56mbps and i seems slow to me i have a cable modem and a linxys wireless g router

56mbps is the fastest possible connection speed over a wireless connection for the time being. But that speed is only the connection speed of to your network not to the internet. go to an internet speed testing site (somtin like www.internetfrog.com/mypc/speedtest) to see how fast your connection really is and if you arent happy get a 6mbps cable connection(fastest offered, i think it is from Wide open west) or something more toward your liking.

56 Mbps is pretty fast, considering most high speed connections top out at 3 Mbps...if you mean 56kbps, then yes its slow, and it all depends on what you are measuring your speed with and at, if checking the connection between the computer and the router, then its gonna be somehwere in the neighbourhood of 100mbps, if its the actual connection speed then thats gonna be what you really need to test...go to http://www.2wire.com and click on the speed test button to see what your connection speed actually is.

OMG that is wicked fast WOW i am so impressed why would u want to make any faster unless that is less than u are paying for?
