Why in the world don't you kick a field goal???? You've got one of the league's best field goal kickers and the field goal puts you up by 15??? STUPID!!!!

Of course I bet on the over!!! Regardless, why wouldn't you kick an easy field goal and put your team up by 15???? The worst that could happen is they block it and run it back with, what, 20 seconds left????

As long as I bet on football I have seen that coach never kick a field goal when they are up by two score with about less then 2 minute left

The Bears were out of timeouts with just over a minute left on their own 20 yard line. Their quarterback had thrown two interceptions in the fourth quarter. The conditions weren't ideal for the kicking game. You run the risk of missing a field goal or having it blocked. If you make the field goal, there's a chance the Bears could run the kickoff back. I had no problem at all with that strategy.

What's the point? It's still a two-TD game, and you run the risk on a field goal of the kick being blocked and the Bears getting hold of it and running it back, or the kick being short (like happened in a game recently) and it being returned.
