Okay I've ALWAYS wanted a best friend that was a guy, and I see it in movies and TV all the time and well I do have some guy friends but it's not the same, and see there's this one guy that I would like to get to talking to because I've looked at his myspace and such and we're a whole lot alike AND on his myspace it even says "I wish I could find a girl to be my best friend- just a best friend and nothing more" It's such a weird feeling what should I do?

Oh and I don't only know him from myspace! He goes to my school and I've had classes with him before, just never really talked.

i think thats really sweet...i wish i had a guy best friend too to just talk about everything with. i think in the beginning theres always that questioning love/romantic thing that you guys may have eachother. it may take a while past that point to just remain friends and it can totally happen. i think you should start talking to him online, leave him a myspace comment, send him a myspace message to talk to him and get to know him. say something really sweet, acutally say anythnig. i think whatever you say that gets him to believe you want to become good friends is really flattering and he will definately take interest in you because you are so interesetd in getting to know him and for taking the time to befriend him. imagine if someone started talking to you and said "you seem really interesting and i would love to get to know you better"? id feel so special and flattered. definately dont hesitate to talk to him..what do you have to lose? you may gain a really great friend :) good luck!!

Men are only best friends with women that they have always wanted to sleep with but she never gave him the opportunity. If you only know him from myspace why don't you send him a message and start a conversation with him. But you cannot have sex with a guy whom you want to be your best friend. Just get to know him, but try to be a little cautious, since you haven't even seen him in person before.
Remember: special people that you will meet in your life usually come naturally, not by meeting them on the internet, or purposely searching for a special person. Those kind of relationships aren't natural. If you just can't seem to find a guy friend, hang with your girl friends for now.

You want a best friend, he wants a best friend, you have alot in common. Say something to him already! Another thought is to find yourself a good gay man. They make the best man friends because you never have to worry they're being cool just to get in your pants!

Simply get to now him better and see if your friendship can work out. BUT always be clear of your intentions what ever they are. Do not mislead him. I have been in those situations before and they always end messy!

you guys should get acquainted so you guys can be "best friends" but evenutally you guys are going to be more than that. Its what I like to call "friends with benifts."
