Overall thats not a bad system pretty much what I am running right now, but I would drop that motherboard try a gigabyte 965 DS3, and upgrade your RAM to 2GB, because vista uses more than XP.

I like the one guys suggestion about dropping the motherboard and adding more RAM, that motherboard is an SLI board, and since you are not running SLI, why spend the extra for it, plus 2GB is really necessary for a new gaming machine. You might look into the E4300, it is a little cheaper and you should be able to overclock it a little easier (the exact reasoning is a little complex for here, but if you want details email or instant message me). Lastly, you can get an OEM of Vista Premium for $120, so why not skip all the trouble of the upgrade (it is a pain, trust me). If you are looking to save a bit of money, getting the 8800GTS instead would be a good way.

You won't be able to run an E6300 to 3 GHz, especially with no liquid cooling. Try 2 Gigs of RAM though. And unless you'l be watching tv on your monitor, 30" is a waste.

Change the motherboard to an ASUS P5B-E, it will let you overclock just as high and will save you 50-60$.

And use that extra cash to buy 1GB more of RAM.

And this is the cheapest 8800GTX card i found:
PNY VCG8800XXPB GeForce 8800GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail Price: 549$
