I think it is Steve Nash. Because he is very good in assists than Jason Kidd. He also won the MVP Award. But Jason Kidd almost win the MVP Award last 2001-2002, when he led the New Jersey Nets to the NBA Finals.

I think its Kidd. I believe Nash is a good player but Kidd is better. Kidd has finished a lot of games with a triple double in his stats, and he can lead his team. Nash has only been the MVP because the Suns really need him. Kidd has been good from the start, while Nash has been in his form after he left the Mavs. A good player has to be consistent from the start.

Statistically? Kidd. He almost averages a triple double, which is pretty impressive, and has logged more this season then the rest of the league combined.
On the court? I'd have to go with Nash this year, due to the success of the Suns. The Nets have had their share of injuries (to Krstic and now RJ), but even before that, they were struggling. The Suns have been solid since (almost) the beginning of the season.
Career wise? Kidd. He led his team to the Finals, not once, but twice. He was cheated out of the MVP; if Nash deserved it twice, so did Kidd.

After evaluating both on individual and team performances, I'm going to go with Nash. While Kidd is a triple-double threat on any team, Nash is an entire team's system -- a player that a team can build around. It's no coincidence that Nash was on the League's highest scoring teams the past several years (Dallas and Phoenix).
His team-first play also makes everyone around him so much better, a trait that a point guard must have. As a result, players around him are always having career seasons. Any team can run and gun, but having a player like Nash run the team makes them successful.

well i would say nash, 2 time mvp of the league! and he is close to avg. the highest all time assist record for a season since john stockton had his year of 13 a game avg. kidd is a great player but he doesn't make his team better and that doesn't equal wins, nash went to the suns and they went from a few wins to 50 + kidd went to nets and they well you see were they are. ya kidd gets a ton of triple doubles he is good but overall i would take nash or kidd to run my point.

Steve Nash is barely better. He is MVP right now, to me.
20 points, 4 rebounds, and 12 assists per game!
Kidd isn't far behind, but I think Nash is on the way up, while Kidd is on the way down.
