I am in a never ending battle to lose my post baby body. I am doing crunches, situps and a lot of other things. I have seen results everywere exept for my horrible love handles and my flabby arms. How did you other moms do it?

You're never going to be the same as you were pre pregnancy. Your body has totally changed your hips will not go back to where they were, while you might wear the same size, may get down to the same weight you probably won't be able to wear the same brands or shop in the same department as you used to. Those who used to fit into "junior" jeans will find themselves having to go over to the "missy" department where the clothes are cut diffently to accomodate the "young woman/mother" body rather than that post pubecent body. We do it because we know that's one of the drawbacks to being a mom...but we're willing to make the sacrifice

I went to a trainer at a gymn and lost most of it from having an "expert" tell me what to do and how many times to do it a week. After that, I was frustrated with the same things you claim. Unfortunately I was told by an "Honest expert" that although I could tone up the love handles and the under arms a bit that the under arms flabbiness and the "pooch" in my middle would never totally go away unless surgery was done. I lost more weight at that time than what I weighed before I got pregnant... With the personal trainer 2x a week I went from a size 12 to a size 2 in just 4 months, however I still had a little flabbiness of arms and pooch in middle section of my stomach.

I was told that these areas were stretched out muscles and would not go back no matter what amount of working out I did, there was damage there from the pregnancy... it's just naturaly stuck like that unless I go under a knife. I confirmed this with my ob/gyn and with several plastic surgeons.

Watch what you eat. This does not mean dieting or depriving yourself. Some great tricks are simply portion control, eating the same time daily and to drink lots of water.

Exercise at least 4 times/week for 30 minutes each time. If you have to you can work up to this. Also, try to fit in some weight training.

All the crunches and situps in the world will not do a thing if you aren't burning fat.

Girl....I'm with ya on this one. i gained 80 pounds with my son and only lost about 45 with the delivery. I've got about 18 to go. It seems like it's harder now. Cardio is a great way to lose weight. Also eating a healthy diet and watching your calorie intake. You can get great excercise dvd's to do at home. And you can get you some 5 lbs weight for your arms. If you have Lifetime tv then Denise Austin has a great workout every morning at 7:00 and 7:30 am. You could record it and do it if your not available at those times.
