You could go out to HIS favorite restaurant and let him order whatever he wants....you pay. Then, order one dessert with two forks. Feed each other the dessert. Who cares if people stare, it's Valentine's Day.

OR....

Some tickets to the cheap nosebleed seats to his favorite sporting event? You can see pretty much everything from the upper level.

ok take it from somebody who knows...ive been going out with my boyfriend for 6 months...we were together last year in march but then broke up after 2 weeks...im only 15, and he proposed to me on new years of 2007...for valentines day i am getting him a shirt by his favorite designer like paco jeans or sean jean..since you are just in the beginning, i would get him a teddy bear, some chocolates, a card and like a men's bracelet or dog tag necklace with his or your name engraved in it...

I wouldn't spend too much money, just get him something kind of personal that means something to both of you. You could get him a watch or other jewellery, a CD of music that is special to both of you, cologne, clothes. Depending what he's into you could get him something to do with one of his interests, eg. sports etc
