have you listened to there reason? accepted it?

There are a couple reasons that I remember.

1) Parents should simply KNOW what I'm thinking, and how I'm feeling. It's an easy equation, so if parents don't already KNOW, they simply aren't paying attention, and that proves they don't love me.

2) If they don't love me enough to pay attention to what is happening in my life, why would I waste my time trying to explain it to them? They are idiots.

Then I got older, and I figured out that parents truly can be idiots. I practice being an idiot parent daily.

When parents aren't accepting your reasons, they are probably seeing that your reasons are leaving you vulnerable to pain. It's hard to accept that when you love someone so much.

If you tell them how you see something playing out, and they fill in the blanks from their past experience, it may bumm you out, but you may find they aren't entirely stupid. And that they were listening.

Sadly, they still may not agree with you.

Good luck!

I have 7 children and they all talk to me so I have no idea what you're talking about.
