i'm in eighth grade, it's language arts homework to bring in a song or lyrics of a song that is like a poem?

i don't know what song to choose

Hmm...you could pretty much choose almost any song you wanted. But if you're looking for a recent song I'd suggest How to Save a Life, by the Fray. That's one option.

This is called "The Boy In The Bubble". It came out in 1986 on Paul Simon's "Graceland" album and it is pure poetry:
